Qualifications in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) and Languages Other Than English (LOTE) allows graduates to find employment in Australia and anywhere in the world.
In Australia, graduates can teach in ELICOS (English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students) centres and private language teaching colleges. We also have graduates teaching English in Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa, making this an ideal qualification if you are interested in travelling and living overseas.
A separate degree in education is required if you wish to teach in schools at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Contact the education department in your relevant state or country for more information on the required qualifications for school teachers.
Postgraduate qualifications in Applied Linguistics aim to:
- provide insights into language learning and teaching,
- explore the practical applications of these theories in a language classroom.
