Qualifications in Advertising can be applied to a wide range of careers in specialist advertising agencies or the marketing division of a major corporation, for example:
- Account Manager/Executive
Work with clients and liaise with finance, production and art departments.
As a visual and/or audio artist, the art director guides the artistic strategy and prepares concept and final production for a campaign.
Write advertising copy using strong creative writing skills for print and verbal campaign elements.
- Direct Response Specialist
Create direct mail campaigns online and offline.
Create audience-targeted interactive media ads such as advergames and multimedia, web, mobile phone ads with knowledge of special needs in interactive environments.
Create the visual effect of advertising messages through choices of text styles, graphs, illustrations, photographs and other design elements such as logos.
Understand media industries to use channels effectively by purchasing media space or time in electronic and print media.
