Our students are mentored in small personalised class groups by internationally renowned academics, researchers and practitioners. The lecturers in the Department of Biomedical Science, most recently Dr Peter Johnson, have been awarded an Australian Award for Teaching Excellence. The BioSMART teaching program has been acknowledged with a prestigious Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Award for its Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning in the area of Biomedical Science.
The Biomedical Science Team is committed to teaching and research. The researchers in the department are some of the most successful for external research grants.

Biomedical Science offers a broad-based foundation for careers, postgraduate study or research in a wide range of health fields including physiology, immunology, medical chemistry, anatomy, pharmacology and pathology.
Start Your Career Sooner
Bond enables you to complete a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in just two years by scheduling three full semesters per year. Intakes occur in January, May or September for most degrees.
Higher Level Qualifications
Progress seamlessly through Bachelor, Honours year, Masters and PhD Health Sciences studies in accordance with your chosen specialty. Or you can graduate with two degrees in the same time most students take to complete just one by combining the Bachelor of Biomedical Science with other relevant undergraduate programs.
