Bond University offers an undergraduate medical program open to Year 12 school-leavers and other university graduates. Bond prides itself on its low student to staff ratio. Our small group learning is conducted in our state of the art, $20 million Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine building featuring the most advanced teaching and research laboratories, including clinical skills rooms that simulate the real medical environment.
Note: For 2013, the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program is open only to domestic applicants. Bond University is committed to easing the shortage of Medical Practitioners in Australia and therefore applications to the MBBS program are only open to Australian Citizens, Australian permanent residents and holders of an Australian Humanitarian visa. Applications are also open to New Zealand Citizens but not to New Zealand permanent residents. Bond University may accept applications from applicants on behalf of Foreign Governments to which it has entered into specific arrangements.

Bond enables you to complete your medical degree in less than five years thanks to our three-semesters-per-year timetable, and intensive clinical training periods.
The Bond University MBBS Program is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC), assuring that it meets or exceeds the agreed national guidelines for medical education. As a result, upon successful completion of the program graduates are qualified for registration as a medical practitioner in any State or Territory in Australia.
Medical graduates from Australia are guaranteed internship appointments with Queensland Health. Many of our graduates have also been offered internships in other states and territories in Australia.
International medical graduates are eligible to apply for intern positions in any Australian state or territory (without guarantee of a position).
Problem-Based Learning
Students learn through the presentation of clinical cases that combine a range of symptoms, possible diagnoses and disciplines, rather than approaching each subject as a stand-alone entity.
Clinical Experience
Extensive clinical placements in hospitals and general practice are incorporated from early in the program. Students also benefit from the real-life setting of our clinical skills rooms on campus.
