The Bond Difference

Australia’s first graduate entry-level Doctor of Physiotherapy program combines extensive theoretical training and clinical experience over a two year course of study (six semesters). The Doctor of Physiotherapy (D Phty) program* features small group problem based learning and practical teaching sessions in Bond University’s state-of-the-art Physiotherapy Laboratory and Clinical Skills rooms.

Qualify as a Physiotherapist in Four Years

Start your career sooner by completing the Bachelor of Exercise Science or Bachelor of Sports Science in two years (six semesters), both of which are the preferred undergraduate programs for entry into Bond’s Doctor of Physiotherapy Program*.

Extensive Clinical Experience

Extensive practical experience working in clinical settings with qualified practitioners on real patients makes up more than 50% of the program including a full clinical internship in the final semester.

World-Class Facilities

Our $20 million state-of-the-art Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine building incorporates advanced teaching and research laboratories, including the purpose-built Physiotherapy Laboratory and the Sports Science Laboratory and shared use of the skills laboratory with medicine - assimilated professional working environment.

Small Personalised Classes

Bond’s physiotherapy intake is up to 32 places, ensuring personalised attention and mentoring from teachers.

Problem Based Learning

The pre-clinical preparation through the problem based learning (PBL) program enables holistic preparation of cases studied and effective transition into the clinical setting. Learning in this context is undertaken with a facilitator and approximately eight peers.

 *The Doctor of Physiotherapy program has been accredited as an entry-level program by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and is listed as an approved program of study by The Physiotherapy Board of Australia
