Law is increasingly regarded as an excellent foundation for a wide range of careers in politics, business, teaching, public service, industrial relations and international relations, just to name a few.
Our Business Law programs provide an opportunity to study legal subjects of particular interest, in combination with your choice of business and information technology disciplines, thereby opening up an exciting choice of challenging and rewarding career possibilities in areas such as commerce, international business, languages, IT and marketing. Unlike the Bachelor of Laws degree, the Bachelor of Business Law does not provide a qualification for the professional practice of law.
Further Study
In addition to offering a postgraduate pathway to the Masters of Business Law, Bachelor of Business Law graduates may complete a further 16 law subjects to qualify for professional legal practice with a Bachelor of Laws.
Career Planning
Your Faculty Advisor and individual professors can help you arrange industry-based internships and work placements through their network of contacts. The on-campus Career Development Centre offers an additional source of key employer contacts and online job listings on the Career Hub web portal.
