Professional Outcomes
Graduates of the Building Surveying programs will be able to practise as accredited building surveyors and certifiers. The program has been designed in consultation with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) to ensure that the material covered is in all respects appropriate for people engaged in this field. Through this consultation graduates are assured that their qualifications meet the requirements of the profession. It is anticipated that the program will be fully accredited by both the AIBS and the Building Professionals Board (NSW).
Further Study
Graduates can pursue research-based projects at the PhD level through the Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture.
Industry Accreditation
The Mirvac School of Sustainable Development has successfully achieved international accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for graduates of this degree.
Career Planning
The Mirvac School of Sustainable Development offers the services of an Industry and Student Placement Officer who is dedicated to assisting students add value to their study by undertaking an internship or work experience placement. The on-campus Career Development Centre offers an additional source of key employer contacts and online job listings on the Career Hub web portal.
