Master of Energy Management

Duration: 1 Year full time (3 Semesters)
Starting: September 2013

Program Description

Bond University’s Institute of Sustainable Development & Architecture has developed the Master of Energy Management (MEM) in conjunction with Faculty from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College (USA).

The MEM program is built on scientific rigor and professional practice to provide a unique, interdisciplinary training in energy management and covers various subject areas including energy conservation and utilisation, economics, environmental management and climate change, project management and project finance, as well as risk and uncertainty.

As part of this program, professors from both the Institute of Sustainable Development & Architecture and the Thayer School of Engineering will each deliver a number of subjects. This will provide a depth experience across many knowledge areas within energy management globally.

This program allows you to exit after four subjects with a graduate certificate, after eight subjects with a graduate diploma, or complete all 12 subjects for a master’s degree.

The full list of subjects is outlined in the program structure.

Professional Outcomes

The MEM equips graduates with the required skills to become the next generation of energy leaders, managers, and decision makers with the necessary insight and knowledge to address the challenges in energy management that face us today and into the future.

At completion of the MEM, graduates will have a strong understanding of business engineering practice as it relates to energy management. They will have acquired skills to incorporate the broad context of energy management into future economic case studies that will be necessary under the paradigm of sustainable development in various industries such as minerals, oil and gas, water, waste and power generation.
