Master of Finance

Duration: 12 subjects (120 Credit Points); Flexible part-time options are available for domestic students only

Description

The Master of Finance program is designed for business professionals whose career progression demands greater knowledge of the finance industry. Bond University’s practical teaching style prepares you for work in the following areas: investment banking; stockbroking; foreign exchange trading; commercial lending; portfolio management; dealing with complex securities such as futures; options and swaps; treasury management; company valuation; strategic planning mergers and takeovers; property management; risk management; corporate structuring; and financial planning.

Work Experience & Internships

Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, may consider undertaking an internship as part of their Master of Finance degree. Internships and work placements are subject to permission from the Faculty.

Professional Outcomes

Potential employers of Master of Finance graduates include: commercial banks; merchant and investment banks; portfolio managers; superannuation funds; insurance companies; stockbrokers; security analysis and the treasury and corporate finance division of major corporations.

The Master of Finance is registered with ASIC for RG146 compliance. Students must complete FINC71-600 Managerial Finance and FINC71-318 Personal Investments if they wish to meet the RG146 compliance.
