Each recipient of the RSL Youth Development Program will be invited to attend a leadership forum.
The RSL Youth Development Program Leadership Forum is an opportunity to meet fellow recipients, hear from guest speakers, and be officially awarded their grant by senior members of the RSL (Queensland Branch) and Bond University Team. The day consists of a formal evening award ceremony, and an informal leadership presentation day where guests speakers and past recipients present.
The leadership forum is held annually at Bond University's campus on the Gold Coast. Recipients will be sent details of the weekend once recipients have been chosen, and the winners packs have been sent via post.
2013 Leadership Forum
The 2013 RSL Youth Development Program Leadership Forum will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013. This event will be held on Bond University's campus on the Gold Coast.
The event starts at 9:00am and will finish at 7:00pm.
Further information about the weekend will be sent to all recipients in the coming weeks.
2012 Leadership Forum
Last year's event saw 300 recipients and their guests attend the leadership weekend, traveling from all across Queensland.
Recipients were awarded with a plaque and certificate by RSL QLD Chairman, Mr Terry Meehan, and Bond University Director-Marketing and Admissions Ms Valerie Runyan.
Attendees heard from guest speakers Air Marshal Geoffrey David Shepherd AO, MAJ Suzanna Fernandez and past recipient Meagan Ryan.
Students participated in two leadership activities and left the weekend with many new found friends.
