How to Apply

Eligibility

Bond Students

All students must have achieved for minimum 2 semesters a GPA of at least 65%. Law students looking at going to a Law Faculty partner institute must achieve a GPA of 70% for all law subjects.

Undergraduate students may apply from their second semester at Bond University. Postgraduate students may apply from their first semester. Applications received in first and second semesters will be pending GPA requirements as outlined above.

Incoming Students

Incoming students from partner institutions must meet home institution requirements as well as meet Bond GPA and English language requirements.

Semesters Available

Exchanges between Bond University and our partners take place during the January and September semesters. Incoming students interested in the May semester will be considered on an individual basis.

Application

Bond Students

All interested students are encouraged to attend and Exchange Information Session held in Week 3 of the January and May semesters.

The Study Abroad and Exchange Office will be accepting applications from 6 to 30 May 2014 for the January 2015 semester. Outbound application forms are available to download here.

Students must complete and sign all sections of the application including:

  • Personal details
  • Faculty reference
  • Subject approval from Academic Advisor
  • Personal Statement
  • Personal reference
  • Certified transcript (please include most recent semester)

Please return your completed form to the Office of Future Student Reception in Building 1b_Level 4.

Incoming Students

Once your home institution has confirmed that you have been nominated to Bond University, you will be able to apply to be assessed for your exchange.

Once nominated, please apply online here. Please include all required documentation as requested by the online form.

Nomination

Bond Students will be contacted by the Study Abroad and Exchange Office approximately 2 weeks after the application deadline has passed. All students will be advised of the outcome of their application.

Successfully nominated students will receive further instructions regarding partner institute application requirements.

Predeparture

All outbound Bond University students must attend a compulsory Exchange Pre-Departure Session in Week 10 prior to their Exchange semester. This session provides fundamental information about their semester abroad. Details of the session will be advised to students closer to the date.

Incoming Students

Please allow 2 weeks for your application to be assessed. Including all required documentation will greatly assist in smooth turnaround time of your application.
