Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language)

Description
The Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language) program is a University Pathway program for students from non-English speaking backgrounds. The program provides students with advanced level English Language on a for-credit basis. Please see the Credit Table for more information. After successfully completing two semesters students will be able to enrol in most undergraduate degrees offered across the four faculties. Successful completion of the two semesters of the Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language) leads to a Diploma in University English Studies.
Program Outcomes
This program leads to three different outcomes:
- Graduate with an Undergraduate Diploma of University English Studies after two semesters
- Apply for transfer to another degree program within Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Law, Information Technology or Health Sciences and Medicine* after two semesters
- Continue with the Bachelor of Arts (English as an International Language) program
* With the exception of the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Forensic Sciences, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
