Description
The Bachelor of Interactive Media and Design program prepares communicators and designers for careers in the dynamic field of interactive media applied to a wide range of applications. The program is founded on the growing market power of the creative industries, which are based on design, web and procedural communications. You can major in two of five areas: Digital Media Design, Computer Games, Advertising, Communication, Film and Television.

Professional Outcomes
You will graduate with knowledge and skills necessary to begin a career in the rapidly growing field of interactive media and design which encompasses web-app and website design, computer games development, digital art, augmented reality, app and content creation for mobile devices and the policy and aesthetic considerations thereof. Professional directions include, but are not limited to: mobile, desktop and web-based games; web-based apps and multimedia; ubiquitous computing and converged media including eBook publishing and emerging technology; designing, integrating and writing for social media;, and mobile media and devices. Capabilities include design aesthetics, web design, procedural literacy and entry-level programming, 3D modelling, 2D and 3D animation, sound design, writing and documentation, level design, industry, audience, content and policy knowledge. You will have experience designing, pitching and developing interactive media for external clients as well as having built a considerable portfolio of interactive and visual assets created with the latest industry applicable software, tools and hardware.
