Program Description
Bond University’s Bachelor of Property and Sustainable Development is designed to equip students with a strong foundation and advanced technical skills for careers within property related industries and professions. Students choose a specialisation from Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, Property Valuation or Urban Development and Sustainability. The final semester is highlighted by an industry based capstone project which integrates the full range of topics covered during the degree.
Work Experience and Internships
Internships and work placements are encouraged. They provide students with the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learnt while studying and maximise opportunities for career progression after they complete their studies. An Industry Placements Officer assists students in sourcing work experience and internship opportunities.

The Bachelor of Property and Sustainable Development will give you access to a wide range of career paths in property related fields such as urban or rural valuation, property development, development management, project management, investment, finance, construction management, quantity surveying, property management and property research. The attributes gained from the degree will allow you to work in Australia and around the world.
Professional Recognition
Students graduating with the degree are internationally recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In addition, the Construction Management and Quantity Surveying is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Building and has national accreditation with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Students who successfully complete this specialisation will have met the educational requirements set by the Building Services Authority Queensland for the granting of an Open Builders’ Licence. Property Valuation graduates are recognised by the Australian Property Institute (API). The API accreditation allows Property Valuation students to apply for registration as Certified Practising Valuers with the New South Wales Office of Fair Trading and Valuers Registration Board Queensland upon graduation (conditional on meeting professional practise requirements). Urban Development and Sustainability graduates qualify for Associate Membership with the API.
