Apply - Application & Entry Procedures
Study Abroad
How to Apply
Step 1: Choose your subjects
Choose at least six subjects for each semester that you would consider enrolling in and then obtain approval from your home institution's Study Abroad Advisor to ensure that the subjects will be credited towards your degree.
Step 2: Submit an application
Submit your completed application form, along with:
- certified copies of your academic transcripts (if transcripts are not in English, they must be translated and certified before submitting)
- at least one written academic reference
- proof of English language proficiency (if English is not your first language)
- a list of six to eight subjects the student intends to enrol in.
Completed applications should be submitted to the attention of the Study Abroad Coordinator or Representative closest to your region. Applications may be submitted via fax initially as long as original transcripts are forwarded in the mail.
Step 3: Notification of Outcome
In most cases, you will be notified of the outcome of your application within two weeks, regardless of whether your application is successful or unsuccessful. Please contact the Study Abroad Coordinator or Representative closest to your region if you do not receive your notification within this time-frame.
Step 4: Accept your offer
Successful applicants will receive an offer package including:
- an Official Letter of Offer (with feedback on eligibility to undertake the listed subjects in the application)
- a Response to Offer form outlining fees payable
- Accommodation Request form
- Airport Pick-up form
- Payment of Fees form
- Refund policy
- Pre-departure information
To formally accept your offer return the forms (listed above) as soon as possible.
Step 5: Select your accommodation
With a variety of accommodation options, there's something to suit most students' preferences, whether you wish to live on-campus or off-campus, in the community, or with a host family.
Step 6: Commence your Australian Student Visa application
Once you have formally accepted your offer and have paid your first semester's fees you can obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and will then be able to commence your Australian Student Visa Application.
Step 7: Book your flights
Make sure that you arrive at Bond with plenty of time to settle into your new environment and to attend all of the Bond Week Orientation activities. Attendance at Bond Week is compulsory as it provides important information regarding enrolment and your study program at Bond.
Bond University is within 20 minutes drive from the Gold Coast Airport and just over an hour from the Brisbane International Airport. We can arrange for you to be met at either airport and be transported to your accommodation.
Step 8: Find out more about the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is located on Australia's east coast, 80kms south of the capital city of Brisbane on the Queensland/New South Wales border.
A strong youth culture prevails where you'll meet fellow students from all over Australia and all over the world. Together, you can discover the great nightlife, beaches, waterfront pubs and eateries, theme parks, national parks and more.
