PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Master of Information Technology is a 12 subject program that offers graduates of any discipline the opportunity to acquire a professional qualification in Information Technology.
The carefully structured foundation component will provide students with the background knowledge to confidently operate within an IT environment and associated business setting. The elective component will provide students with the specialist skills required for professional IT pathways.
Students with previous computing studies or work experience will be considered for exemption from the relevant foundation subjects.
Enrolment
International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 30cp per semester. However, you may enrol in 40cp per semester (with your Program Advisor’s authorisation) which will reduce the time to complete your program.
Domestic Students have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in any discipline or equivalent, including Information Technology.
Professional Outcomes
The Master of information Technology (Professional) provides students with the technical skills for careers in the information technology industry or with IT intensive organisations, including government and business enterprises.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
The Master of Information Technology degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.
Work Experience & Internships
Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, with approval, may choose to undertake an internship as part of their degree.
