Program Description

The Masters of Project Management program provides a comprehensive business ready foundation that will equip graduates from any background with the knowledge necessary to develop a career and expertise in project management in all areas of industry, government and the not-for-profit sector.

The program features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams and global working.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of any undergraduate degree and two years’ appropriate and relevant work experience in the applicant’s given field; or qualifications and/or extensive relevant professional experience deemed equivalent by the Faculty Dean.

Intensive mode Delivery*

Intensive Mode Delivery (IMD) is a compacted and time efficient way for students to complete their postgraduate qualification with minimal impact for students on their work/home lifestyle.
The Masters program can be completed part-time in two years if you undertake 2 subjects per semester. The face to face component of each subject is delivered via two x three day modules, each of which includes either a Saturday or Sunday. Students may choose the intensity of their study pattern to suit their particular circumstances so longer periods for completion at a lower intensity are also available.
Opportunities for study through international exchange at partner universities offer global experience and exposure, and can be used to accommodate variations to the standard program caused by work and holiday commitments. For more information please contact the Faculty.

Professional Outcomes

This suite of programs provides graduates with the theoretical foundation necessary to develop a career in one of the fastest growing professions worldwide – that of project management. Today, project management skills and abilities are in high demand in almost every commercial sector and industry. The result is a global shortage of project managers at all levels in every field such as construction, information technology, finance, health care and related industries, property development and government.
