Students complete the following core subjects, plus the 20 week Work Integrated Learning subject:
- Planning Theory and Ethics
- Sustainable Communities
- Urban Design & Site Analysis Studio
- Research Methods for Design and Planning
- Regional Planning Policy and Practice
- Environmental Planning and Conflict Management
- Planning and Development Law
- Development Assessment
- Sustainable Development and the Urban Environment
- Directed Elective: GIS and Property or Property Investment Analysis and Economic Impact Statement
- Directed Elective: Infrastructure Economics or Public Private Partnership or Economic and Social Foundations of Planning
- Research Project
WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING
WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING
Work Integrated Learning is designed to promote and support student learning, personal development and professional practice. Students will participate in a series of experiential exercises which may include field trips, seminars featuring guest lectures from industry leaders, work experience and projects.
All exercises are monitored by academic staff and in conjunction with career advisor.
The subject aims to: facilitate students’ self-analysis and reflective issues and problems; and apply theoretical knowledge in seeking solutions for practical workplace problems.
