Course Structure
Core Subjects
Every Bachelor degree student at Bond is required to complete at least one subject from each of the following four discipline clusters
Communication (1)
Outcomes: To communicate effectively in writing, speaking and visual; to understand the nature of communication processes and sources of difficulty in communication.
Information Technology (1)
Outcomes: To work effectively with contemporary information technology; to evaluate critically the current and future role of computing technology in the storage, retrieval and processing of information.
Values (1)
Outcomes: To appreciate the foundation of moral, ethical and social theories and their relevance to issues of public concern and debate; to use theoretical ideas in formulating arguments about how particular issues should be resolved.
Organisations (1)
Outcomes: To appreciate the natural, dynamic and strategic positioning of organisations within their environments; to appreciate the nature of effective work in groups.

Discipline Majors (5)
Students may complete 5 subjects to form a major from one of the following areas of specialisation:

- Middleware
INFORMATION SYSTEMS
- E-Business
- Advanced Database
- Business Systems and Processes
- Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- Systems Design
MANAGEMENT
- Managing Change
- Strategic IS Management
- Business Processes/IT in Operations
- Technology Management
- Security and Assurance
SOFTWARE SYSTEMS
- Introduction to Data Structures and Algorithms
- Introduction to Software Engineering
- Modular Programming
- Developing and Deploying Large Systems
- Modelling and Validating Systems
A General Major of any 5 subjects satisfying the degree regulations may also be taken. A minimum of three 300 level subjects must be undertaken in a General Major.
Double Majors, for example Information Systems and Management, or Distributed Systems and Web Applications and Software Systems are encouraged.
IT ELECTIVES (5)
Student not undertaking a double major must choose 5 further IT subjects from any offered by the School of Information Technology.
Electives (2)
2 Further subjects may be selected from the undergraduate subjects offered from any Faculty/School within the university to complete the 24 necessary for graduation.
