Program Description

This degree is designed to equip students with a strong foundation and advanced technical skills for careers within property related industries and professions.

Subjects in the degree include the topics of urban and rural valuation, planning processes, development and project management, finance and investment, geographic information systems (GIS), urban and development sustainability, asset and facility management, property law and agency. The final semester is highlighted by an industry sponsored capstone project which integrates the total ranges of topics covered during the degree.

Enrolment

International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 40cp per semester. Domestic Students: You have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.

Bond’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.

Professional Recognition

Graduates of Valuation, Urban Development and Sustainability, and Asset and Facilities Management majors will be professionally recognised by the Australian Property Institute (API). The API accreditation also allows Valuation students to apply for registration as Certified Practising Valuers upon graduating, (conditional on meeting professional practice requirements).

Students can apply to undertake an internship as part of their degree.

Combined Degrees

Students can combine this degree with any other undergraduate degree at Bond (except Medicine) to suit their professional and personal interests. Bond's three-semester academic year allows students to complete two degrees in the same time it would take to complete just one degree at other universities (dependant upon degree combination).
