The Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) offers an introduction to the discipline of psychology and explores topics such as the biological bases of behaviour, personality, sensation and perception, learning, memory, language, motivation and emotion, lifespan development, social behaviour and psychological disorders.
Professional Outcomes
This degree qualifies students for employment in professional areas such as counselling and various functions associated with human resources. It is also the building block for further studies where you are able to pursue careers in the professional practice of psychology including clinical, organisational or forensic psychology, counselling, health and community psychology, research, and other specialist areas.
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent, Bond College Certificate.
Accreditation
This program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as the equivalent of three years university training in Psychology.
Work Experience & Internships
There are no provisions in this program for Work Experience and Internships.
Combined Degrees
Students can combine this degree with any other undergraduate degree at Bond (except Medicine) to suit their professional and personal interests. Bond's three-semester academic year allows students to complete two degrees in the same time it would take to complete just one degree at other universities (dependant upon degree combination).
