As opposed to Government funded institutions, our students are not required to pay HECS, student union or guild fees. Additionally, as a not-for-profit organisation, 100% of your tuition fees are re-invested in your education, enabling us to provide world-class campus facilities, state-of-the-art learning resources and, most importantly, smaller classes that give you one-on-one access to Australia’s leading academics and corporate achievers. When considering the fees and costs associated with your tertiary education, you will need to budget for the following: Tuition FeesTuition fees vary depending on your choice of degree. For all coursework degrees, the tuition fee is charged on a per subject basis. At Bond University all students studying a subject pay the same fees, regardless of nationality or residence status. Fees must be paid at the start of each semester. View the following pages for specific degree and course costs: Books and study materialsThe costs for books, stationery, software and other resources tend to be the same at most universities – allow around $300 per semester. (To help off-set these costs, you can sell your old textbooks and buy second-hand at the Bond Book Sale held during O-Week before the start of each semester.) Student Activities MembershipThe Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Student Services and Amenities) Bill 2010 was passed on October 11, 2011. Bond will introduce the compulsory fee from the May semester 2012. Membership for the January semester is optional. The Student Activities Membership provides students with access to all sporting facilities and clubs offered by the Bond University Students Association. The fee is used solely to support student services, events and activities.
