Professor Robert L Stable

MBBS (Qld), MHP (NSW), DUniv (QUT), FRACGP, FRACMA, FCHSE, FAIM, FAICD

As a former clinician and as a leader and manager of complex health services, Professor Stable’s extensive experience has involved the public, not-for-profit and private sectors of the health sector.

He served an extended term as Queensland’s Director-General of Health from 1996 until joining Bond University in 2004 and chaired the Australian Health Minister’s Advisory Council from 2000 to 2003.

A Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators, the Australian College of Health Service Executives, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Professor Stable has worked closely with various universities throughout his career.
