Description

The Masters of Criminology program gives students practical skill development and a scholarly appreciation of crime, justice and forensic issues. The course provides an understanding of criminology theories, contemporary information on crime prevention, the theory and practice of punishment, criminal offenders, the police, courts and correctional institutions and current crime and deviance issues. Students will also learn how to analyse criminological issues and critically evaluate published research.

Professional Outcomes

Graduates of this program find opportunities in the areas of research, teaching, intelligence analysis, policy analysis, program development, service delivery and consulting and could expect to be employed in areas such as state and federal agencies, law enforcement of crime research, specially convened tribunals, police, community welfare etc. Students with backgrounds in areas such as journalism, psychology, public relations and international relations would also benefit from completing graduate studies in criminology.

Popular Double Degrees

Bond's three-semester academic year could allow students to complete two degrees in the same time it would take to complete just one degree at other universities.
