Message from Head of School

The ever urbanising world requires design led thinking to resolve complex problems. At Bond we know these problems don’t just exist within a physical environment but within a tangle of ethical, political and cultural values.

Architectural training is a lot of learning by doing which is why Bond provides practical studio based learning. We give you a place to call home, here on campus. It’s a place to draw, discuss ideas in 3D, make models and to see inspiration transform into something new and exciting.

The Bachelor of Architectural Studies is characterised by small classes with students who are chosen because of their passion for ideas or for their demonstrated application to a chosen endeavour. The diversity of students’ interests will bring enthusiasm and exposure to new ideas. This is supported through one-on-one tuition with lecturers, practitioners and tutors.

Travel and immersion into other environments and cultures also becomes an essential component of developing your awareness of a complex world into which you as Bond graduates will bring leadership in thinking and problem solving.

Through the expertise of our staff, entrepreneurship and cultural and ethical values, Bond graduates will be well placed to make a difference to the quality and sustainability of the built environment through architecture, leadership and design acumen.
