Deferment Domestic Students Once an offer of a place in a Bond University program* has been made, you can apply in writing to postpone the commencement of your studies for up to one year (three semesters) by: - Selecting the deferment option on your Bond University Response to Offer form; or
- Emailing admissions@bond.edu.au with your student identification number, proposed new start semester and deferral reason
International Students Once an offer of a place in a Bond University program* has been made, you can apply in writing to postpone the commencement of your studies for up to one year (three semesters) by: - Selecting the deferment option on your Bond University Response to Offer form; or

Please note that if the deferral is greater than one semester then a new Financial Capability Declaration form is also required for each request for deferral. All Students Please note that deferment of scholarships will only be granted in certain circumstances, such as illness, family bereavement or essential overseas travel. Students seeking deferment of scholarships should send a request stating the reasons for seeking deferment, with supporting documentation, to scholarships@bond.edu.au. *Applicants who are offered a place in the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), the Doctorate of Physiotheraphy, the Master of Psychology (Forensic) and the Master of Psychology (Clincal) are unable to defer their offer.
