Study Abroad Enrolment Procedures New students should follow the instructions below in order to complete their enrolment. Enquiries should be directed to the Office of Student Administration, email enrolment.enquiries@staff.bond.edu.au or phone (61-7) 5595 4049. Tick each step when completed and keep this guide for your records. 1. Pay your fees before the end of Bond Week You should return the balance of your fees to the Cashiers Office, Bond University, QLD 4229. Your fees are based on the number of subjects you enrol in. Fees can be paid by cash, cheque, credit card (Bankcard, Visa, Amex or MasterCard), BPay, or Verisign (Internet). Students wishing to pay using BPay must do so at least 2 days before the end of Bond Week. Please note that your enrolment at the University will not be finalized until ALL fees are paid. See also, the Fees section of the A-Z Registration Guide. 2. Submit outstanding admissions documentation If you have not provided ALL the necessary admission documentation prior to the end of first semester a sanction will be placed on your record preventing your eStudent enrolment and the release of results. You may see Admissions staff prior to Bond Week or you should make an effort to resolve any outstanding admission requirements on Monday and Tuesday of Bond Week. 3. Subject selection If you are an undergraduate student, please select and enrol into subjects based on the Recommended Study Programs. If you are a postgraduate student, contact your Academic Adviser to discuss your enrolment. You may seek academic advice regarding subject selection prior to Bond Week or you should make a particular effort to obtain such advice on Monday or Tuesday of Bond Week. (All Faculties have developed a detailed enrolment guide to assist you with the subject selection process and as a means of encouraging greater participation in on-line enrolment prior to Bond Week. The guides should be available from Faculty websites. If you want to see an Academic Adviser you should contact the Faculty directly to make an appointment.) 4. Enrol online via eStudent If you are familiar with the on-line enrolment facility you can enrol online via eStudent at any time prior to or during Bond Week. The Office of Student Administration is responsible for assisting you with your enrolment process. Assistance with subject and class enrolment will be available in the Computer Lab Precinct (IT labs) on Wednesday or Thursday, 10.00am – 4.00pm, of Bond Week. 5. Obtain a student ID card You should be fully enrolled in your subjects before you receive a Student ID Card. Also, please complete a New Student Survey online, http://www.bond.edu.au/academic/survey/newstudent.asp. You may obtain your ID card on Wednesday, 10.00am – 4:00pm, of Bond Week in Lakeside Grill (Student Court). At other times, ID cards will be issued from Student Administration, level 1, Student Court. 6. Collect password for access to computing facilties Passwords for access to Student Email and the Bond Network will be available from Information Technology Services (ITS) the day after you enrol via eStudent. Please follow this process: • Complete and lodge the Student Acceptable Use Agreement for Computing Facilities Form (available from ITS) at ITS. Completing and signing this form is a condition of your use of the student computing facilities. • On presenting this form to ITS, you will be issued with passwords for access to Student Email and the Bond Network. Your Student ID card must also be presented in order to collect your password information. 7. Keep the A-Z enrolment guide handy The A to Z Enrolment Guide has a lot of information to help you with the enrolment process and has information on many other aspects of your study at Bond. You never know when you might want to refer to it for information. Keep it handy. It is essential to attend BOND WEEK academic activities before commencing study
